9" x 11" Garnet Paper Sheets

Garnet is good for hand-sanding. It works well on raw wood, removing light scratches and preparing the surface for finishing. The abrasive particles break during use, providing new edges for removing material but garnet sandpaper wears quickly.

A, C and D indicate the weights of the backing. Lighter "A" weight backing allows for greater flexibility of the sheet of sandpaper. "D" weight is designed for coarser grits. For example, an 80A will not last as long as an 80D, but an 80D will be more difficult to use in small areas where the paper is folded to fit into smaller pieces.
